The Freyberger Butcher Shop is a artisan butcher shop run by Dirk and Sven Freyberger, now in its third generation. In addition to being World Butcher Champion , we are also two-time Bratwurst King and hold the BBQ World Champion title for the best beef. We also employ the winner of Butcher Wars Germany 2024 .

We rely on free-range farming for our products and maintain close contact with our regional farmers. Quality is our top priority, and innovative products, such as a cheese spaetzle bratwurst and a meatloaf with a kebab flavor , bring traditional craftsmanship into the modern age.

What does a butcher do?

A butcher plays an important role in the food industry. During your apprenticeship, you will learn how to produce and process meat and sausage products. In the first and second years of your apprenticeship, you will, among other things, butcher carcasses, learn expert cutting, and produce sausages. You will also prepare various meat products, such asschnitzel or sausage specialties . You will also package these for sale. You will also be involved in ordering and monitoring meat quality. Apprentices work in the company and gain practical experience there. This apprenticeship is a dual program. This means that you will also attend vocational school, where you will learn additional skills. The apprenticeship lasts three years and includes an intermediate examination. While you are in production during your training to become a butcher, the specialist sales people work at the sales counter. They also advise customers and prepare delicatessen products.
