What makes a juniper ham a special ham?

A ham represents the highest quality of cooked ham. A ham of this quality may only be made from whole cuts of pork leg, the pork ham. Today, most customers demand that their cooked ham be almost completely fat-free. Therefore, each cut is individually removed from the leg. Any adhering fat and tendons are then trimmed. During the subsequent cooking process, the cuts are reattached in their natural position.

Juniper ham is gently massaged

All our ham specialties are cured, giving them their appealing, pale pink appearance. The hams are massaged for at least 12 hours in a machine called a tumbler. This results in our hams being particularly tender to the bite. We rely on quality from Franconia. The pigs are slaughtered by our Uncle Hans in Uehlfeld. Short transport routes guarantee the highest quality raw materials. This makes it a special product of theNuremberg Metropolitan Region.

Extraordinary freshness of our juniper ham

At this point, we'd like to emphasize our exceptional freshness again. We produce cooked ham twice a week, and the hams often arrive piping hot when they arrive at our display. This exceptional freshness also contributes to their flavor and outstanding shelf life.

Cooked ham for pregnant women

All cooked hams, including our juniper ham with a fat edge, are suitable for pregnant women. All cooked hams are thoroughly cooked and therefore pose no health risks to pregnant women. Unlike cured hams, this is not the case.
